The other day I was going around book stores and suddenly my attention got caught by none other than Taylor, well… on a book. So I go and pick it up: “Taylor Swift, from the heart” by Alice Hudson, an unofficial biography published in 2014. Of course I bought it and had to do an investigation on whether I could find new information or just basic stuff everything knows.
The book has a hardcover and it’s 128 pages long, but most of them are filled with photos, there is very little text and it has lots of quotes either by or about Taylor.
As for actual information you get out of it, it’s definitely not bad, but I didn’t find anything I didn’t already know, except for maybe numbers that I always forget. I think it’s a good idea if you’re maybe new to the fandom and want to find out more about the old Taylor (again, this was published in 2014 so don’t expect anything about the 1989 or the reputation era) or if you want to add it to a gift for someone you’re trying to convince to join the fandom.
Overall, I don’t think you’ll need and if you want to know more about Taylor I recommend checking out @taylortrivia on Instagram, Rachel posts amazing facts.
