I think it’s probably safe to say none of us were expecting this turn of events, but there’s not much we can do about it except to adapt to the situation, stay home and, in my case, try to be productive.
Reading
My want to read list is a never ending manuscript and I haven’t had time to read much in the past few months (that, and the fact that I juggle 6 books at the same time) so I’m very much behind where my Goodreads account calculates I should be to finish the 50 book challenge I set for myself for this year. I decided I want to use some of the spare time I now have to catch up on books that I started ages ago and never got to finish or that have been sitting on my bedside table ever since I bought them.
Some of my current reads are:
The Art Of Making Memories – Meik Wiking
The Little Book Of Colour: How To Use The Psychology Of Colour To Transform Your Life – Karen Haller
The Secret Garden – Frances Eliza Hodgson Burnett
Bake Macarons
Yes, you read that correctly. By this time you probably all know how much I love them, but macaron (as most French desserts) are known for the difficulty and expertise required to make them.
However I tried baking them once before and while they didn’t turn out perfects, they also weren’t that far off, so I think now is the perfect opportunity to try again and hopefully improve.
Sew
I got my sewing machine back in autumn of last year and didnt really get a chance to use it since. I want to learn to sew more complex stitches and all finish a few pieces I started a while back.
Art
I’ve been putting off painting for so long and was so happy to get back into watercolour last month, so I would like to continue doing florals, as well as do more digital art.
Filming
In the begging of March I filmed and edited this short IGTV and quite enjoyed it and by the feedback I got it seems that so did you, so now I’m thinking about playing around with the video format a bit more 🙂
What are your plans for this spring? Let me know in the comments or via Instagram.
Until next time…
