Spring has passed so fast, I can’t believe it’s already summer, it seems like the trees were just blooming yesterday! Well… time flies by, I can’t wait until summer break, but meanwhile, these are some of the products and accessories during this Spring season.
Dior Backstage Foundation
I’ve been meaning to buy the foundation for the past 5 months and finally got my hands on it just at the end of March, before hopping on a plane. I don’t like having my face covered in a mask of foundation, I want my skin to look natural, be able to breathe, and that’s is exactly what the Backstage foundation does. It has medium coverage, sits on the skin very nicely and I love that it blends perfectly, making it look like you have nothing on. I feel my skin breathing through it and it’s not in any way uncomfortable, I was also really pleased that I found my perfect shade quite easy, which is normally a bit of a challenge for me.
Elle UK Magazine featuring Taylor Swift
This past months I felt like I’ve been really getting back into reading fashion magazines and interviews. The one that I think impacted me the most was Taylor Swift’s interview to Elle UK about her writing process, which I found helped me clear my mind and rethink the way I work. (I also want to make a short note on the beautiful cover, which is probably one of my favorites she’s ever done.)
Asos Ankle Boots
Back in autumn, I shared on my Instagram that I got a new pair of ankle boots from ASOS that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t exactly suitable, so they ended up staying in the closet for most of these past months. But the Spring weather was perfect to wear them, before switching to sandals and espadrilles for the warm season. They’re very comfortable and go with pretty much everything I wear around this time of the year.
The season finale of Suits
It’s no secret that I am a fan of the show and of course I got very excited about the season 8 finale. Without giving any spoilers (but really, you should’ve watched it by now), I think the episode perfectly tied together the end of yet another season, leaving the 9th and final one be highly expected.
The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes
Another one of Jojo Moyes’ best sellers, I got the book as a gift for Christmas and thought it I’d give it a try. I’m so happy I did because it ended up being one of my favorites that I read lately.
“France, 1916. Sophie Lefevre must keep her family safe whilst her adored husband Edouard fights at the front. When she is ordered to serve the German officers who descend on her hotel each evening, her home becomes riven by fierce tensions. And from the moment the new Kommandant sets eyes on Sophie’s portrait – painted by Edouard – a dangerous obsession is born, which will lead Sophie to make a dark and terrible decision.
Almost a century later, and Sophie’s portrait hangs in the home of Liv Halston, a wedding gift from her young husband before he died. A chance encounter reveals the painting’s true worth, and its troubled history. A history that is about to resurface and turn Liv’s life upside down all over again . . .”
My trip to London
In the beginning of March, I traveled to London and it was definitely one of this season’s highlights. I won’t get into too much detail, as there’s an article about it, but I really enjoyed my trip and, luckily, the weather in March turned out to be just perfect.
Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs
I think the name says it all. It’s the perfect perfume for spring, a fruity floral scent with key notes of Blackberry, Jasmine Flower and White Woods. I got the 10ml travel version a while ago but haven’t yet finished it, I’m definitely planning on buying a larger one next time since it’s one of my favorite perfumes.
I hope you enjoyed these and maybe try them out for yourselves, you can let me know your favorite spring products, moments and accessories in the comments.
Until next time…
?kisses,
