Maison des Crêpes

Maison des Crêpes

I think we all love going to restaurants for the same reasons – breakfast, brunch, dinner or simply studying in a cafe, the atmosphere and good food can always put you in a better mood. The only difficulty is… well… choosing a restaurant.

If you live in Romania you may already know about the restaurant chain, they have 4 locations in the country, 2 of which are in Bucharest.

I only visited the one on Emanoil Porumbaru St. in Bucharest, and as far as that location goes, I’m very happy with the food, atmosphere & service.

Atmosphere & Decor

The atmosphere is in fact the reason I got to go to the restaurant in the first place, after having people recommend it multiple times, I though I had to see what all the fuss was about – and it was worth doing so. The restaurant is located in a beautiful house on a side street, away from the noise of the city, but within reach. I really like the relaxed vibe of the restaurant and I love going there with my friends to catch up, but at the same time it’s the type of restaurant I would visit when I have to quietly work on something & don’t want any distractions.

The decor is simplistic and there is always French music in the background, to set the atmosphere.

Food & Service

As the name suggests, they mostly have crêpes and pancakes – very well done, not the most exquisite meal, but perfect if you’re in the mood for something sweet (and without having to make a big mess in your kitchen?).

Their menu includes more than just sweets, but I keep coming back to the  ” Lola “  pancakes & the Fetimans Rose Lemonade, their homemade lavender lemonade is also delicious.

I don’t have any comments to make on the service, the waiting time for the food being decent & waiters nice for the most part 🙂

I’m curious to see what you think about Maison des Crêpes if you’ve ever went there and if you haven’t yet, do you plan to? Let me know in the comments or via Instagram.

Until next time…

?kisses,
