Lavender Love

Lavender Love

I generally love flowers. All types, colors and forms. However, there are a few that I absolutely adore and one of them is lavender.

Back in April, while strolling around the parks in Romania, I passed by an Easter fair that sold all kinds of plants and herbs. Somewhere buried in a corner there was a beautiful basket with dried lavender. Of course couldn’t resist and the urge to get one (which I later struggled to transport in my carry on, while the security guards at the airport gave me questionable looks) and bring it home.

I’ve always loved lavender, I’m pretty sure it started with the color. When I was a little girl, purple was my favorite. I’d collect anything purple, and that’s how I came about to find of this amazing plant that I fell in love with as soon as I smelled.

Now, the main reason I use lavender for is the smell, the plant emanates a lovely perfume, which is also known for its relaxing benefits. I love coming home to my room smelling like lavender after a tiring day, it immediately relaxes and transports me to a whimsical land.

About a year and a half ago I also discovered lavender tea & lavender lemonade. I was looking through the drinks menu at a restaurant and noticed the lemonade, so I had to give it a try. I loved it, and a few weeks later I also tried the tea. Since then, I always have some in the kitchen, it calms migraines instantly and tastes amazing.

I’m curious to know what are you favourite plants and what you use them for, is it skincare, smell or health benefits/ Let me know in the comments or via Instagram.

Until next time…
