I only stopped in Florence for 2 days and spent most of the time visiting the city and wondering on the streets. I didn’t take a lot of photos, but here are some of the small things that I liked there and made me fall in love with the city.
The architecture
Whether it was a monument, a restaurant or a shop, the buildings just managed to take your breath away. I especially loved the buildings of the luxury stores because you could walk an entire street full of them, but no store had the same design as the one before. As for the monuments and museums, even though I didn’t get to see many, they were all gorgeous and I’m looking forward to coming back some time soon and hopefully getting to study more of them in detail.
The Dome
The beautiful Cathedral will take your breath away the minute you lay eyes on it. I loved the colorful details which were different from anything I’ve ever seen before.
The apartment
We rented a beautiful vintage inspired apartment. I’m a bit sad I didn’t take many photos of it, but it was definitely a highlight of my stay.
Ponte Vecchio
In the afternoon, we strolled by Arno and the famous Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence.
There’s nothing quite like golden hour on the bank of Arno, the golden light brushing everything around with warmth and affection, all of the tourists walking by and taking photos, I bet it would be an amazing spot for a picnic.
Ufizzi Gallery
Of course we also had to visit the well known art gallery, which didn’t fail to amaze me. My favorite piece was “The Birth of Venus” by Sandro Botticelli, which has been on my bucket list for quite some time and I’m happy to have seen it in person.
Everyone is different, I want to know if you’ve ever traveled to Florence and what were your favorite things about the city, you can write them here or let me know via Instagram.
Until next time….
